Die bahnbrechende Schlepperkonstruktion des Fordson F ging auf den Wunsch des Automobilproduzenten Henry Ford zurueck, aehnlich seinem Pkw-Modell Ford T, einen zuverlaessigen, einfachen und preisguenstigen Traktor zu fertigen. Er sollte leicht zu bedienen sein und zudem wenig kosten. In grosser Serie wurden ueber eine Million gefertigt. Da sich der Aufsichtsrat der Ford Motor Company gegen den Bau von Traktoren aussprach wurde 1917 die Firma 'Henry Ford & Son' gegruendet und mit der Serienproduktion begonnen. Aus dem diesem Ursprungsnamen entstand 'Fordson'. Erst 1920 wurde die Schlepperproduktion in die Automobilproduktion integriert.

Das Motiv zeigt einen Fordson F in Ackerausfuehrung aus der Prodoktionszeit 1917 bis 1928 mit Luftreifen, sodass er problemlos auf befestigten Wegen und Strassen einsetzbar war.

This pioneering tractor-construction was a result of Henry Fords idea to built similiar to his 'Tin Lizzy' a simple, but solid and cheep tractor. At last over a million Fordson F were built. Thru the fact, that the directorate of the Ford Motor Company was against producing tractors, Henry Ford founded 'Henry Ford & Son' in 1917 and that's what the name Fordson comes from. In 1920 the tractorproduction became a part of the Ford Motor Company.

The motif shows a Fordson F in fieldversion with pneumatic tires, so that it was possible to use also paved ways and streets without problems. This Fordson F was produced from 1917 to 1928.
